Club Bombala About Us

More Than a Club Over 60 years at the heart of Bombala

Since opening our doors on 15 December 1956, Club Bombala has been a gathering place for the community – a home away from home where locals come together to celebrate, connect, and support one another.

While our building has stood for over six decades, we've never stood still. Our Board is committed to keeping Club Bombala modern and welcoming, with ongoing improvements that honour our heritage while embracing the future. Recent renovations include upgraded accessibility at the front entrance, a refreshed main bar, and improved amenities – all completed by local builders Rankin Builders, who also renovated our auditorium and smokers terrace.

2009 Spirit Of The Bush

At the Clubs NSW Awards for Excellence Dinner, 5 June 2009, it was announced that Club Bombala had won the “Spirit of the Bush” Award.

This award recognises the integral role of small clubs in fostering the mateship, support and spirit found in rural communities in NSW.

In winning this award, the Club was given $5000 to donate to a local organisation, our choice being the Southern Monaro Community Fund.

- Finalist

The Club was nominated in 2016 for being an integral contributor to local groups and charities with our Thursday raffles format. Although unsuccessful, it was highlighted on the night and an exciting thing to be named as a finalist.
